Summary

This is a seminar in which a group of professors/researchers in the field of Spanish ecclesiastical law will present the results of their in-depth study of different aspects of the discipline in relation to European Union law. At different times during each session, as well as at the end of the day, there will be time for discussion among the professors participating in the Seminar, and space will also be given to those registered participants who request the floor.

Session 1ª (from 9 to 11.30):
-Juan González Ayesta (University of Oviedo): Principles of religious legal treatment in the European Union Law.
-Pedro Sánchez Llavero (G.I. SEJ259): Analysis of the ecclesiastical law regulations of the European Union.
-Ángel López-Sidro López (University of Jaén): Relevance of the rules of confessional origin before the European Union Law.

Session 2 (from 12,30 to 14,30):
-Leticia Rojo Álvarez-Manzaneda (University of Granada): Council Directive 2000/78/EC of 27 November 2000 and its application by the CJEU in relation to the religious factor.
-María Jesús Gutiérrez del Moral (University of Girona): Gender equality and religious freedom in the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
-María del Mar Martín García (University of Almería): Migrations and religious factor in the European Union.

Session 3 (from 16,30 to 19):
-Moderator: Miguel Rodríguez Blanco (University of Alcalá).
-Mercedes Salido López (International University of La Rioja): Recognition of religious secrecy in Europe.
-Enrique Herrera Ceballos (University of Cantabria): Ministers of worship before the Law of the European Union.
-Mª del Carmen Caparrós Soler (University of Granada): The status of the confessions in the European Union Law.
