Admission and Enrollment

It is considered that Philosophy, due to its transdisciplinary nature, requires that the Bachelor's or Master's degrees (with which one can access the PhD Program) should not be limited to Philosophy or the Humanities, but can be accessed from any degree or area, as long as the intended thesis is consistent with the academic and research training received in the Bachelor's or Master's degree. It will be the Program’s Academic Committee (through an interview and a previous report from the doctoral student) who will judge the consistency. If it is considered inconsistent, a second access commitment would be required; namely, to complete an appropriate training supplement, either academic in character (subjects) or research-based (Master's Final Project), always with the agreement of the director and/or tutor. This work may be directed by the same director and/or tutor of the Doctoral Thesis and will be defended prior to the reading and defense of the Thesis, in accordance with the current Master's regulations.
