Advanced Chemistry PhD Program

Doctoral studies constitute the third cycle of official university studies. Its objective is to acquire the competencies and skills related to scientific research. Thus, this stage is focused on the training of researchers capable of generating knowledge and transferring it to society.

Graduate doctors are expected to play an essential role in all the institutions involved in innovation and research, as well as in the innovation and future strategies of industries and companies, leading the transformation in the production model towards a sustainable economy.

Doctoral studies culminate in the presentation and defense of a Doctoral Thesis, after which the doctorate is awarded, this includes the possibility of an international mention, the highest academic degree attainable from a University.

The current Advanced Chemistry PhD Program is associated with the training period consisting of the Master's degree"The Advanced Chemistry Laboratory"(Published in BOE on 10/10/2018).

Objetives

The development of the training plan must provide the doctoral degree holder with adequate training to develop their professional and research activity, which will always be carried out:

  1. Respecting the fundamental rights and equality between men and women,
  2. Respecting and promoting Human Rights and the principles of universal accessibility and design for all (according to Royal Legislative Decree 1/2013, of November 29, which approved the Consolidated Text of the General Law on the rights of people with disabilities and their social inclusion),
  3. In accordance with the values of peace and democracy pertaining to a culture.
