A. Master's degrees that give direct access to this Doctorate without training complements.
Those students who have obtained any of the following Master's degrees can directly access these doctoral studies:
- Policies and Practices of Educational Innovation, from the Universities of Malaga and Almería.
- Special Education, from the University of Almería.
- Research and Didactic Evaluation in the Classroom for Professional Teaching Development, from the University of Almería.
- Educator / Environmental Educator, from the University of Almería.
- Intervention in School Coexistence, from the University of Almería.
- English Studies: Professional Applications and Intercultural Communication, from the University of Almería.
- Studies and Social Intervention in Immigration, Development and Vulnerable Groups, from the Universities of Almería, Granada and Huelva.
B. Master's degrees that give access to this Doctorate in which training supplements must be completed.
Those students who have obtained a Master’s degree in “Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching” will be able to access these studies.
Students must pass the training supplements that are determined from among those specified in the training supplements section of this report. These training supplements should preferably be completed in the first year of study and, in any event, before the end of studies.
C. Other Masters or PhD Program Training Periods that give access to this Doctorate for which training supplements must be completed.
Those students who have obtained an Official Master's Degree, or who have completed the PhD Program training period via any of the mechanisms provided in the current applicable legislation may access these studies.
Access from other Master's degrees will be based on the consistency and content in relation to the proposed doctorate. However, students must pass the training supplements as determined in each case by the Degree’s Academic Committee, from those specified in the training supplements section. These supplements should preferably be completed in the first year, and in any event, before the end of the studies.
In the event that the demand for admission is greate than the offer, the following admission criteria will apply. Students who have access via section A will have first preference, followed by B and then C, in that order. The application selection to be admitted to the research period will be made by the Doctorate in Education’s Academic Committee, according to the following criteria:
- Academic Record: 50%
- Courses and seminars relevant to the program (20%).
- Doctoral thesis project (15%)
- Interview (15%).
The admission criteria will be the same for full-time and part-time students, who will have to establish and justify their commitment in the admission application. These systems and procedures will include, in the case of students with specific educational needs derived from disabilities, the service support and advisory services that will assess the need for possible curricular adaptations, itineraries or alternative studies.
