PhD Program in Education

The purpose of the present PhD Program is to organize the doctorate’s teachings and activities, as well as to manage the inter-university Doctorate Schools in which our university participates, in promoting R+D+I collaboration with external partners, with a large quality component in the programs, so as to strengthen the research capacity and international competitiveness.

The University, as a trainer of researchers and an instrument of national, regional and local development, plays a fundamental role in the Knowledge Society.

In this area, the Spanish Government has defined the offer of high-quality PhD Programs as strategic objectives. Spain, like Europe, needs to increase the number of researchers, and PhD Programs are a cornerstone for achieving this goal. The objective is to position the University (and third cycle) as one of the pillars of the new Knowledge Europe, in addition to placing the European Union in a position to compete with the United States in the new Knowledge Society.
