The university mailing lists service (SYMPA) features open-source themed lists to send information related to the university environment.
You'll decide which lists you're interested by signing up according to the theme, without the need for support from the ICTS staff.
Depending on your user profile, you'll automatically be signed up to certain university mailing lists.
If you have a Virtual Campus user account, you'll automatically have access to the Mailing List service, and you can sign up to lists that interest you or unsubscribe from unwanted lists via the SYMPA mailing list website. If you don't have a Virtual Campus account, you can sign up to open mailing lists by registering with SYMPA.
On the SYMPA website, you can search for a list, see lists by categories or get help. To log in with your username, click on "Sign In". To see the index of lists, click on "List Index".
After signing in, you can click on "My Lists" to see your subscriptions and lists. You can also get here by clicking on "Sign In" in the upper right-hand menu.
Select the and click on the "Sign Up" option in the left-hand menu. Once you've signed up, you'll get a confirmation message.
To unsubscribe, sign in with your email username and password, select the list you want to unsubscribe from ("My Lists") and select the "Unsubscribe" option on the left-hand menu.
To sign up to or unsubscribe from lists by email, send a message to sympa@lista.ual.es with the subject "sub name-list" to sign up, and with the subject "uns name-list" if you want to unsubscribe.
