The Master consists of 3 modules, a core module, an elective module, and the Master's Thesis.

1. Core module of Research Methodology. It is composed of 21 ECTS credits distributed in 4 compulsory methodological subjects to be taught between the two universities, UAL (12 ECTS) and UHU (9 ECTS):

• Quantitative Methodology I (6 ECTS; UAL)
• Quantitative Methodology II (6 ECTS; UHU)
• Advanced Measurement Models in Psychology (6 ECTS; UAL, 3 ECTS/ UHU, 3 ECTS)
• Meta-analysis (3 ECTS; UAL)

These compulsory contents will be given in the first and second semesters and will have a multimodal character, consisting of face-to-face and on-line lessons at 50%. This will be done using the online teaching platform that the UAL makes available to professors. In all cases, face-to-face teaching will be carried out using this tool in such a way that students do not have to move between the two places, being able to access this teaching synchronously regardless of the place in which it is being taught.

2. Elective Module. This module consists of 18 courses with 3 ECTS credits each. A total of 54 ECTS credits are offered and students must take 24 ECTS credits to complete the module.

Students who wants to achieve a specialisation must take 18 ECTS credits according to the conditions set out below (Courses by Specialisations):

• Specialisation/Pathway 1 (UAL). Research in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology.
• Specialisation/Pathway 2 (UAL). Psychological Research in Social Contexts.
• Specialisation/Pathway 3 (UHU). Research in Health Psychology.

The contents of the three pathways/specialisations will be taught during the first semester, combining on-line lessons with 50% of face-to-face lessons, as detailed above in the Core module of Research Methodology.

To take the remaining 6 ECTS credits (up to 24) from the elective module, students may freely choose among:

• Courses offered in the elective module and not previously taken.
• Elective courses of the Master’s in General Health Psychology of the UAL or of the UHU, which may be of interest to students who enrol in the present master's degree, since they include aspects of Psychology closely related to, and also complementary to, the Master's pathways. The elective courses offered in this master's degree are detailed below and their offer has been authorised by the coordinator and the academic committee of the corresponding Master’s in General Health Psychology*. Students will only choose the courses that are taught at the place where he/she is enrolled.

In general, for the 2021-22 academic year it is established that:
The students who enroll in the UAL may choose the following courses:

• Psychosocial Intervention in Emergencies, Crisis and Catastrophes Situations (3 ECTS) (2nd semester)
• Childhood and Adolescence: Neuropsychological Diagnosis in-Health Psychology (3 ECTS) (2nd semester)
• Adult age: Neuropsychological Diagnosis in Health Psychology (3 ECTS) (2nd semester)
• Neuropsychology of Normal and Pathological Ageing in Health Psychology (3 ECTS) (2nd semester)

The students who enroll in the UHU may choose the following courses:

• Evaluation, Diagnosis and Psychological Intervention in Disability (3 ECTS) (2nd semester)
• Evaluation, Diagnosis and Psychological Intervention in Sexuality (3 ECTS) (2nd semester)
• Evaluation, Diagnosis and Psychosocial Intervention in Addictions (3 ECTS) (1st semester)
• Evaluation and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation (3 ECTS) (2nd semester)
• Research in Health Results (3 ECTS) (2nd semester)

The Academic Committee of the master's degree may review each year, in due course, the offer of these elective courses having the official authorization of the respective Universities in accordance with their offer of masters to include the elective courses that best fit and correspond to the contents and competencies of this degree.

Those students who do not want to achieve a degree specialisation can take 24 ECTS credits chosen freely from the offer of electives that comprise the three specialisations, and can also choose to a maximum of 6 credits of those corresponding to the courses indicated above of the Master’s Degree in Health General Psychology given at the headquarters where they are enrolled.

3. Master's Thesis. It comprises 15 ECTS credits and is compulsory. This work will consist of the preparation and realization of a research work, supervised by a professor or a doctor of the master's degree. It will take place during the second semester (from January to May), defending itself in any of the exam sittings to which the student is entitled.

Summarized Structure of the Proposal:
In summary, since the proposed Master is a research master, some flexibility is provided for the student to build one of the two curricular alternatives:
1. A curricular pathway by itinerary/specialisation, consisting of the following ECTS to be taken:

• 21 (Core Methodological)+18 (Elective pathway)+ 6 (General Elective)+15 Master’s Thesis

2. A curricular pathway based on the achievement of the 60 ECTS required for access to doctoral studies but not subject to pathways/specialisations. It would be formed as follows:

• 21 (core methodological)+ 24 (elective)+15 (Master’s Thesis)
