The structure outline will be the following one:

• Module 1: Social Sciences as Models (48 ECTS).
• Module 2: Tools and Instruments (18 ECTS).
• Module 3: Social Work: Concepts, Methods, Theories and Application (54 ECTS).
• Module 4: Institutional Context of Social Work (30 ECTS).
• Module 5: Processes and Problems dealt with in Social Work (42 ECTS).
• Module 6: Intervention and Strategies in Social Work (48 ECTS).
• Module 7: Undergraduate Dissertation and Work Placement(24 ECTS).

The degree distribution by type of course will be the following:

• The basic subjects chosen (60 credits) provides with a comprehensive training in which core aspects of the Social and Legal Sciences branch are covered, such as Law, Economics, Anthropology, Sociology and Psychology.
• The specific subjects chosen (132 credits) correspond with the knowledge needs and professional performance related with the practice of social work: concepts, methods, theories and application of social work, its institutional and organisational contexts, the processes on which social work is applied, organisational tools for the professional performance and ethics.
• In addition to this, 24 elective subjects are offered (48 credits) which introduce and initiate the future social worker in the application of the conceptual basis and specific methodologies in relevant professional spaces.
• The Bachelor's Degree in Social Work is completed with the Internships (18 credits), which provide students with specific knowledge of social intervention in different contexts. The students’ academic training is completed with their incorporation in the internships centres, supervised by professionals who are graduated in Social Work.
• Finally, the degree is completed with the Bachelor's Dissertation (6 credits).

Elective:
Students of this degree may complete their elective academic load:

• a) Taking the elective subjects included in this report.
• b) Proving their participation in cultural, sports, student representation, supportive and collaborative activities as it is set out in article 12.8 of the Royal Decree 1393/2007 with the limits established in such regulations, and in accordance with the procedure established in the Credit Recognition and Transfer Rules of the University of Almeria within the limits established in the cited rule.
