Suggested profile for newly enrolled students

As an entry profile for the bachelor's degree in Social Work, it is recommended that, at the Upper Secondary Education level, the student should have come from the arts and humanities and social and legal sciences knowledge branches, and, basically, access to these bachelor's studies will be for students who have passed the university entrance exam.

Working in Social Work involves maintaining personal relationships on a constant basis in different spheres and at different levels. Therefore, it is desirable that the students have an entry profile that includes the ability to communicate and interact socially with people, as well as to work in a team, and above all, to accept the complexity and diversity of interpersonal relationships and to take on the commitments inherent in social issues.

With regard to prior training to access the Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, we should note that, since multidisciplinarity is one of the essential characteristics, these studies can be attractive to students with various profiles, especially for those who are interested in the Social and Legal Sciences Branch.

In any case, what is required is a good language level that allows adequate oral and written expression, and an intermediate knowledge of a second language, which makes it easier to address specialized subjects throughout the studies.

Other characteristics are also desirable in the student, such as the ability to work, study motivation, and a desire to learn and constantly improve. In addition, improving one's decision-making capacity, self-reflection and, as mentioned earlier, the ability to establish interpersonal relationships and work with people and teams, will be of particular interest.
