Even though there are no prerequisites for accessing the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, in the absence of further regulatory developments, it is desirable that the student has prior training that facilitates the acquisition of knowledge, competencies and skills associated with this degree.

For entry into the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, it is recommended that the student's training profile be scientific-technological in nature, both in terms of upper secondary education and vocational training programmes. Within this profile, it is advisable to have basic training in mathematics and physics, as well as knowledge of computer tools at the user level, with an Upper Secondary Education level qualification or equivalent.

In the case of coming from Higher-Level Vocational Training Programmes, it is recommended that the student has completed a course in the Computer Sciences area.

In terms of skills and abilities, it is recommended that students have:

  1. The ability to analyse and synthesise a large amount of information.
  2. Aptitude for numerical and logical reasoning.
  3. Can deal easily with abstraction and imagination when dealing with problems.
