This project aims to solve an education problem in the agriculture sector. As time goes on the knowledge needed for an optimal development of the agricultural tasks has increased, and different kinds of competencies are needed, such entrepreneurship, cooperative business, sustainability or innovation. Professionals in the agriculture and agri-business sector need to be educated and /or trained in order to be able to provide necessary support to farmers & other rural entrepreneurs. All three participating HEI having a high specialization in the agri-food sector but need to improve the training of teachers and students in the field of cooperative enterprises and related good practices and policies in the agri-food sector.

Considering that, COOPERFORMANCE’s main objectives are to design and develop an European guide for Higher Education using cooperative business models of the sector to educate with them agriculture students for the future jobs (as leaders, managers, staff, consultants), and to provide a better teaching and skills development for the agri-business HEIs participants. This project will gather information related to farmers/producers from all the partners, as they are all experienced and specialized on different agri-business fields.
