Structure of the Degree

The curriculum consists of three modules and is divided into two types of subjects: compulsory and master’s thesis.

A. The compulsory subjects are organised in the following modules that aim to respond to the objectives of the training program, and consequently, that students can develop academic, professional and research activities:

I. Advances in Medicine (30 ECTS)

II. Research Methodology (15 ECTS).

B. III. Master’s Thesis: (15 ECTS).

MODULE 1. (30 ECTS): Advances in Medicine.

1.1. Advances in Medical Pathology (9 ECTS, 1st semester).
1.2. Advances in Surgical Pathology (6 ECTS, 1st semester).
1.3. Advances in Reproductive and Paediatric Health (6 ECTS, 2nd semester).
1.4. Cerebrovascular and Neurodegenerative Diseases (3 ECTS, 2nd semester).
1.5. Legal and Forensic Toxicology (3 ECTS, 2nd semester).
1.6. Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (3 ECTS, 2nd semester).

MODULE 2. (15 ECTS): Research Methodology.

2.1. Epidemiology and Research Methodology (3 ECTS, 1st semester).
2.2. Statistics applied to Health Sciences. Multivariate Analysis (6 ECTS, 1st semester).
2.3. Test development and validation. (3 ECTS, 1st semester).
2.4. Laboratory applied to Health Sciences (3 ECTS, 1st semester).

MODULE 3. (15 ECTS): Master's Thesis.

3.1. MASTER’S THESIS (15 ECTS).
