The Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration and Management provides the student with a solid multidisciplinary and practical training aimed at acquiring the specialized knowledge and professional skills necessary to perform management roles in the Administration, as well as working professionally in private consultancy and management relating to activities in the various Public Administrations.

Suggested profile for newly enrolled students

This Bachelor's Degree is aimed at students who are: Interested in studying and understanding the legal, political, economic and institutional activity of Public Administrations, as well as in developing their future professional life in the public or private sector linked to public management.

Students who have demonstrated comprehensive, analytical and knowledge-based skills in basic subjects, such as history, speech, language, computer sciences, economics and statistics, will be considered more appropriate to study the Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration and Management. In short, students who have preferably studied Upper Secondary Education in the Social and Legal Sciences knowledge branch.

The Public Administration and Management student must also have the ability to work in a team, to be persuasive and to express themselves clearly, both in speaking and writing. Having critical and reflective skills, the ability to use new technologies, and a capacity for information management, organization and planning. Having at least a minimal knowledge of the English language to help use bibliographic resources and different information sources.

Professional qualification

As the Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration and Management results from Spanish national regulations, it is not one of the professional degrees or doctorates, since the Spanish system for access to the public service uses, in general, the oposición (competition) system to select its personnel.
