The proposal of this Bachelor's Degree comes in response to the demand from Almerian society for qualifications that provide professionals trained to work in one of the main socio-economic sectors in the province.
Professionals who have the conceptual, manual and technical skills necessary to develop new biomedical products of interest, as well as to increase productivity, quality and safety in the field of agriculture, livestock and the environment.
The proposed degree thus strengthens a strategic line that has already been established by the University of Almeria, integrated into the Campus of International Agrifood Excellence (CeiA3), which strengthens the official bachelor's degree and postgraduate studies, while increasing and improving the training offer available to students, as well as cooperating in the development of quality research in the emerging fields related to our environment.
Suggested profile for newly enrolled students
To enter this Bachelor's Degree, it is recommended that the student has a scientific-technological training profile, whether from upper secondary education or from vocational training programmes.
Within this profile, it is advisable to have basic training in mathematics and biology, as well as knowledge of computer tools at the user level, with an Upper Secondary Education base or equivalent.
In the event of having come from Higher-Level Vocational Programmes, it is recommended that the student has completed a course in the areas of chemistry or health.
In terms of skills and abilities, it is recommended that students have:
· The ability to analyse and synthesize a large amount of information.
· Aptitude for numerical and logical reasoning.
· Find it easy to abstract and imagine when dealing with problems.
