Today, “environmental problems” (pollution, global change, desertification, species extinction, etc.) are leading issues that affect the quality of human life and concern society.

The Degree in Environmental Sciences offers an eminently multidisciplinary training, giving graduates the appropriate skills from various knowledge areas to solve these problems.

The professional activity of the environmentalist should be carried out balancing economic development with environmental conservation, known as Sustainable Development.

Suggested profile for newly enrolled students

The preferred entry profile will be that of students who preferably have training in Science, with a basic knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Geology.

Those interested in this Degree will be generally interested in environmental issues and motivated in finding solutions to the problems facing us; sensitivity to nature; a capacity for observation, criticism, teamwork, as well as skills of analysis, synthesis, and creativity applied to Science and Entrepreneurship.
