Attention: Comments on languages.

To obtain this Degree, it is a prerequisite to have completed at least 24 ECTS in the chosen language (comprising the subjects MODERN LANGUAGE and ADVANCED MODERN LANGUAGE), other than Spanish, from among the languages offered in the degree course, or any other language that the Faculty of Humanities may program for this study from the languages offered by the Centre.

Suggested profile for newly enrolled students

The Degree in Humanities is not linked to any profession with official regulation. Therefore, the entry profile, both academic and personal, is open to all kinds of students from the different upper secondary education branches, not just the Humanities.

To properly study the Degree in Humanities, it is advisable to have a certain applicant profile, which should have the following characteristics:

  1. Interest in culture in a broad sense.
  2. Capacity for reasoning and abstraction.
  3. Willingness to use one's critical and reflective spirit.
  4. Understanding.
  5. Social sensitivity.
  6. Language abilityü.

Linked to the Degree in History, the Degree in English Studies and the Degree in Hispanic Philology. Links with the Masters in Social Communication, in English Studies, and in Gender Studies to access the PhD programme in Arts and Humanities.

In order to teach in Secondary Education, the corresponding Master's Degree must be studied.
