Professor López-Ortiz carries out research in the development of new methodology based on directed lithiation of organophosphorus reagents (with applications in asymmetric synthesis, coordination chemistry, and catalysis) and detailed understanding of chemical processes using advanced NMR techniques. The latter are also applied to metabolic studies of vegetables. Current members of the research group are shown in the photo.
