Previous Congresses
The HUM 665 Research Group of the
University of Almería, together with the Area of Research and
Diagnostic Methods in Education of this University, year after
year has organized courses, seminars and congresses devoted to
the subject of
/intercultural education/
and the challenges it have to face.
Since the 1997/98 academic course to the 2000/01 course, the
Area of Research and Diagnostic Methods in Education of the
University of Almería has carried out four courses of
intercultural education with a high number of attendants (students,
teachers, professional of education, NGO’s members, immigrant
associations’ members, etc.).
The 2001/02 academic course, the HUM 665 Research Group and the
Research Area, in view of the high interest and high number of
attendants, organize the “First Working days of Intercultural
Education” with a participation of more than 320 persons. In
2002/03, the Second edition dedicated to /Citizenship, mediation
and intercultural communication /drew 350 attendants. The Third
edition, in November 2003, devoted to the subject
/Education
of Teachers/ had more than
350 participants. In November of 2004, the Fourth edition
debated the /Educative quality of an intercultural school/. The
following year, the Fifth Working Days dealt with
/Interculturality
and genre/.
In November 2006, the Working Days became International Congress
due to origin, quality, high number of speakers and attendants,
and the subjects presented and the manner they were analyzed and
debated; the subject of the congress was /Living together and
the intercultural mediation/. In 2007, the congress was centered
on /Education
for citizenship, democracy, and participation.
